The roof creaks once in a while. I originally suspected that it was because the roof wasn't closing properly because there was a hydralic leak issue but I had that fixed and the creaking is still there. I've done some research online and one common explaination is because the seals need some oiling.

I haven't had the chance to oil the various roof joints, which I hope to do this weekend and am praying that it will solve the squeaking issue.

I have had my rather troublesome slk since Oct 07 62k k FSH and a few months ago, the roof stuck shut, so off to the indy Merch Tech in Warrington and they couldnt find a fault, but did lube all the switches and since then, it hasnt stuck whilst going down. Now a couple of weeks ago we didnt have rain, so I thought hey, roof down, then drove home on motorway, about 30 mins and when got home, roof wouldnt go up.

Windows work, boot opens and that is it, the compressor is still going as you can hear it. Stopping and lifting the rear parcel shelf thing didnt help. Anyway, it is booked back in on Thursday but they said that if there is no fault shown on the computer, then there isnt much they can do if it doesnt develop a fault in testing. I did phone another indy Bucklow Hill who sounded more clueless and were charging more.
